The Palisades Porpoises are looking forward to an exciting 2010 swim team season under new head coach Gerri Diamond. The team will be competing in Division H this year, with dual meets against Rockshire, Calverton, Chevy Chase Recreation Association, Inverness Forest, and Wildwood Manor. We will also be competing against our neighboring pools on Wednesday evenings, with "B" meets scheduled with Mohican, Bannockburn, Merrimack, and Somerset. We kick off practices from Memorial Day weekend through July, Sunday and Monday mornings, from 9 - 10:30 am for all ages (no pre-team). Please make sure that your child/ren come prepared for all practices, with swim suit, cap and goggles. In the case of inclement weather, we may hold land practices, weather permitting, so it wouldn't hurt to send your swimmers with a pair of shorts/t-shirt/sneakers. Additionally, please send your swimmers/s with a water bottle to practice. Judging by the temperature of past Washington DC swim seasons, it is going to be a hot summer, and it is very important to stay hydrated while in the water. We will begin practice each day with a brief stretching period (~ 5 minutes), so please make sure that all swimmers arrive on time and ready to work! Any questions?
