3rd of July Swimathon in Memory of Clare Schmidt

Please join us July 3rd at 8:30 am for the annual Palisades Swim-a-thon and Pancake Breakfast. Our Swim-a-thon is held in memory of Clare Schmidt, a Palisades Porpoise who passed away from leukemia in 2005. Funds raised through the event support Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society). A beautiful garden for Clare is in the corner of the Palisades picnic area.

This wonderful Palisades Pool tradition is open to everyone! Ages 5 – 105, whether you are a seasoned swimmer or kickboard user – you are welcome to join the fun. Swimming is followed by a delicious pancake breakfast made and served at the pool. Prizes will be awarded for most laps swum in each age group and overall.

Donations can be made on our Palisades Blood Cancer United website. Feel free to share with your family and friends. You can continue to fundraise after the Swim-a-thon too – the link will be open through the summer.

Note the date is July 3rd this year due to a home swim meet on the 4th!
