Palisades Tennis

We are now testing the new online tennis reservations system that is replacing the old phone reservations system. To make a reservation,  log in to our website with your Member Splash ID. Then go to the tennis tab, scroll down to “reservations” and click.
Choose the court you want to play on, and then click the date you want on the calendar below. Fill in the time you want. Then fill in your name, phone number, email address and number of guests. Then click “make a reservation” at the bottom of the page. The system should send you an email confirming your reservation.
Please keep in mind that we are still testing the system and there may be hiccups. So please be patient while we work to get things operating smoothly.
If you have questions or problems with your reservation, email board member Margo Zaneski at If you need to reach her quickly, call/text 301-651-1523.

Spring Junior Instructional Program – Begins April 3rd

We will have after school classes for ages 5-18 years old. We have levels from beginners all the way to tournament level juniors. We teach your kids to play the right way with good technique while having fun at the same time. Please review the attached program and sign your child up ASAP as many classes fill up fast! Please let me know if you need a recommendation as to which class your child should be enrolled in.

Ladies Daytime Tennis Teams

We have two different teams that compete against other area clubs in the daytime GWTA league. We have a B team that plays matches on Tuesday mornings and practices on Mondays. We have a more entry level C team for ladies with little to no match experience that plays on Monday mornings and practices on Thursday morning. If you are interested in joining either of these teams please contact me or come to practice. The first practice for the B team is Monday April 3rd from 10-12. The first practice for the C team is Thursday March 30th from 10-12. If you love to compete or just want to improve your doubles game please join us!

Adult Evening League

For 2017 we will continue to have a men’s evening team and two ladies evening teams. The men’s team will play matches on Tuesday evening beginning the first Tuesday in May. We will have two ladies teams (a 4.0 and a 3.5) which will play matches on Thursday evenings also beginning the first week in May. The season will last approximately 12 weeks ending in late July. If you have not played on the evening team before and wish to do so for 2017, please email me and I will add you to the captains email list so you will receive all announcements pertaining to the teams. Also, for the women’s team you can come to practice beginning in late April. Please see the attached Adult Spring Instructional program flyer for practice days/times.

Summer Junior Camp Program

I have also attached the program registration for our summer junior camp program where you can register your child for tennis before Club Palisades. We will also continue to have our very popular Half Day Swim & Tennis Camp. For the summer months, you can pretty much design your own tennis program for your child. They can do as little as 1 hour a day in our Club Palisades program or as many as 6 hours in our full day program. In many camps in our area, the programs are being taught by college kids and even high school kids with very little teaching experience. Myself and my staff for the summer camp have over 70 years of collective teaching experience working with kids and adults. Summer time is when we have our biggest enrollment so sign up soon to reserve the week(s) you are interested in. For more info, please open the attached brochures.

Junior Tennis Team

This summer we will again have a junior tennis team that will compete in the Montgomery County Junior Tennis League. It will be our fifth year in the league. Last season, we had great participation and did very well in the league. However, we need more kids in the program. In our 2 losses the difference came down to our teams having to forfeit some matches due to not having enough kids in certain age groups. I strongly feel that our team can win this league if we have enough participants to fill out our roster. We really need help on the girls side, especially 12 and under girls. This league is a great vehicle for your kids to begin playing actual tennis matches. It is very low key and all the players in the league are new to playing matches. Most importantly, your child should join us this year on the team because it gives the kids much needed match experience and it truly fosters a love for the game of tennis as well as a love for competition. You will also make new friends, gain new tennis partners and your child will enjoy the camaraderie of being part of a team that really supports each other.

For more information and to sign up for the tennis team, please open the attached junior tennis team file and let me know if you have any questions.
